Which product is right for you?
Choosing a wood flooring product that is right for you is not always going to be a simple task. There are many factors that should be considered when choosing the right flooring. There are endless possibilities when it comes to style and color. With custom stains and finishes you can achieve a one-of- a kind look, or you can give an old floor a completely brand new look.
There are a variety of floors available to fit your lifestyle and budget. With proper maintenance wood floors can last a lifetime and can increase the value of your home.
One of the major factors in selecting a flooring product is what type of subfloor you have. The subfloor is the flooring beneath your floor. For example, if you have a concrete subfloor, you can not use the nail/staple method. The nail/staple cannot penetrate the concrete. A floating floor would be the best method to use. Don’t worry if you are unsure about what type of subfloor you have. That is our job to help you determine what will work best and we are more than happy to help.
We offer complete installation of many types of flooring including but not limited to oak, maple, ash, bamboo and cherry. Installing an unfinished or raw floor will require the floors to acclimate to the interior environment before being installed. Time frames can vary depending on the type of wood installed. The floors must be installed before they are sanded, stained and finished.
Another option is to have prefinished floors installed. These floors have already been stained and finished from the factory and are ready to be installed. Sanding is not necessary. Pre-finished floors are available in almost any color, species or sheen you are interested in.
You would be amazed at what sanding and refinishing a floor can do to your home. There is no better feeling than bringing an older run down floor back to life. Even hardwood floors that have been covered by carpet for years have a chance to shine; however there may be need to repair several floor boards.
Sanding and Refinishing a floor does require the floor to be sanded down to the bare wood. You can expect noise, dust and fumes during this process. No system is 100% dustless. We will do our best to clean up as the job progresses.
If your floor is only lightly scuffed we can also just do a buff and coat instead of a complete sand and refinish.
Besides refinishing residential floors, we can also refinish school gymnasiams, and other high traffic or commercial spaces.
Laminate floors have become increasingly popular in the past few years. Although Laminate floor are not real wood floors they closely resemble the look of hardwood, stone or tile and can be extremely durable. This type of floor is non-resistant to scratches, stains and dents. Just like hardwood floors, laminates come in variety of styles to choose from.
